Vegetable Garden

Heal produces vegetables to the standard of organic farming. To achieve this HEAL children are using AAGA tanks (decentralized community composting products) to produce organic manure from the vegetable and food waste of the kitchen.
HEAL children also assist in the gardens doing tasks such as: seedbed preparation, digging, weeding, planting, watering and the picking of vegetables.
In their gardens HEAL grows seasonal fruit and vegetables such as: Brinjal (Eggplants), Lady Fingers, Cucumber, Red Sorrel, Coconuts, Mangos, Bananas, Corn, Tomatoes, Curry Leaves, Spinach, Amaranthus, Drumstick, Tindora, Bottle Gourd, Cluster Beans, Green Chillies and many others.
